Finally my newest passion is wine, particularly natural wine, super particularly French natural wine! It is oh so delicious and I have loved learning more about wine and getting to talk to people about my other greatest passion food.
Please check out my rotating list of my favorite wine bars in LA!
This gem of an establishment is truly next level. Opened a bit over a year ago on the edge of Chinatown, this French bistro with jungle neon dreamy design has the most lovely of wine lists any of which will find its mate on the perfectly French manageable menu. Go with a date or alone and soak up that unique city like feel.
Dana’s Take: Get the Bread & Things and ask for a side of butter, ordered special from Normandy. Feeling hungrier, get the French Onion Soup or Gnocchi à la Parisienne. Pair it with the delicious fruity yet dry, pairs with anything 2011 Domaine Olivier Merlin, Macon La Roche-Vineuse Rouge, Burgundy, France. Finish off the bottle with a chat with Alain Jeu formerly of Bar Marmont or Scott, an incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and charming server.
